Storms Whispered Through Town

So I am not sure about ya’ll, but I am a little disappointed in those “Storms” earlier!  First of all, there was very little thunder and lightning.  Second of all, they were a little windy with lots of rain, and then gone 5 minutes later.  I miss the good old days of storms rolling in, and the sky turning green.  We still may have some crazy storms tonight yet, but I hold my breath not!  Lawrence always misses good storms.  Not to mention, meteorologists just build up hype and then nothing happens!  At least its just the beginning of spring!  Here are some pictures I took of the storm building and coming…plus a few web screen sots showing how I use my “Nerd-it-ity” to chase storms through the internet from the safety of home base.  I also shot some video.  Perhaps I will upload it tomorrow if I don’t get too drunk tonight to edit it of course!  For’ tis’ the Tavern after all!

  • I have this two sided war going on within…One half says “Oh dear! We don’t want a damaging storm to rip through town! It may hurt my cool stuff and cost me money or perhaps personal injury!”. And then the other side says, “Fuck you pussy! I want the most violent storm and I want it to rip the capitalistic greed from the fucking earth at all costs!”. That’s what I get for growing up as a christian “Punk rocker” I guess!

But seriously, I just enjoy the cool cloud formations, the relaxing sound of rain and thunder, and cool lightning storms. What I really like about storms when they turn severe is the suspense. In all reality I don’t wish harm on people, but if they have to happen, I want the thrill of the ride!

  • Hey, the storm wasn’t THAT bad! We got some good wind and lightning and thunder and generous amounts of rain, even a hail in other parts of the city/county. And like you said, it’s only the first of many this spring. Let’s let nature flex her muscles a bit before she punches us in the eye. I bet the next one will be a doozy.

  • I remember those beers as well…In fact I remember a crazy ass hail storm that seemed as if it would never end at the SFH…and it was fuckin’ violent!

  • I expected at least a fart in my general direction. But all I got was a whisper. Balls! As I type the thunder continues and the lightning seems more active but still I feel the excite has passed or rather never was.
